Morrissey announces “intimate” Broadway residency

It'll provide fans with an "intimate yet exciting exploration of Morrissey’s expansive career"

Morrissey

Morrissey has announced a residency of shows on Broadway.

The former Smiths frontman will play the set of gigs in New York City ahead of the release of his covers album ‘California Son’. The record, which will arrive on May 24, will see Morrissey taking on songs by the likes of Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.

Set to take place exclusively at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater, the residency will see Morrissey deliver “an intimate yet exciting exploration of Morrissey’s expansive career from his early days to his upcoming new record.

“Another milestone in an already storied career, longtime fans of Moz will get a rare opportunity to see the star branch out into new territory and take the stage like never before,” the press release for the residency adds.
